Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Network Administrator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the status and daily activities of the Everwise network. This includes voice, data, local-area network (LAN), wide-area network (WAN), and all activities related to the security of the network.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Install, maintain and test the network.
• Monitor LANs and WANs to assure network performance and detect component failures.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair cabling infrastructure as required.
• Respond to help desk calls for repairs.
• Patching and upgrades to network equipment
• Maintain up-to-date replacement components
• Relay technical information to a variety of knowledge levels, both written and verbal skills; this includes relaying information, training, and technical writing and documentation abilities.
• Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of Everwise.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Familiarity with network hardware, including switches, firewalls, and access points
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex system solutions.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Technical skills pertaining to network equipment including both wired and wireless.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years' experience working with an enterprise level network in a supporting capacity
• 1+ years' experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls including IDS/IPS/DLP system
• 1+ years of experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies including QoS tagging
• 2+ years of experience in a multiple data center operation
• Palo Alto environment experience a plus
• Financial industry experience preferred
