SUMMARY

The Network Architect is a skilled professional who designs, implements, and manages complex computer networks for organizations. The Network Architect is a critical role responsible for ensuring that network infrastructure meets current and future needs, including scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.

In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies.

Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.

Knowledge of large scale manufacturing, production, and/or logistics activities as they relate to supporting IT systems and tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) I level preferred. These include A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, and SSCP.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates, maintains, and administers computer networks and related computing environments for Azure cloud projects and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Supports the configuration and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 in support of production optimization and shopfloor management.

Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop network solutions.

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves network problems and issues. Designs network perimeter and associated firewall services for protecting the application services.

Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.

Performs routine maintenance, such as applying software updates and patches.

Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency.

Develops and maintains system design, implementation and security documentation required for ATO activities.

Develops processes and procedures for a periodic review of user accounts, associated permissions to meet the system and data security requirements.

Designs and implement event logging, storage and review processes and integrate into enterprise event management system.

Works with software development teams to understand application and data access requirements and implement network configuration solutions.

Protects data, software, and hardware by planning and implementing network security measures in compliance with all cybers security regulations.

Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Assesses needs, design, implement and provide network administration and maintenance of designated physical and virtual company network(s) required to meet requirements.

Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The pay range for this role is 118K - 140K. This salary range is representative of the various ranges found within the professional sector across the United States, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
