Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network support across several industry-leading technologies, coupled with robust troubleshooting capabilities. This position demands excellent communication and documentation skills, as well as the ability to implement and support specialized business and technical IT solutions. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a forward-thinking and innovative environment, contributing to critical network infrastructure projects and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general network support and troubleshoot various network-related issues across industry-leading technologies.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including PKI and Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Configure and maintain network devices and services, such as Cisco ISE, IPSec/IKE, and firewalls (Checkpoint and Juniper preferred).
- Administer Load Balancers (F5 preferred) and manage switching and routing configurations (Cisco preferred).
- Create and/or maintain accurate network diagrams using Visio and document troubleshooting processes and user guides extensively.
- Collaborate effectively with remote, matrixed teams, and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Provide exceptional customer service through diligent follow-up and attention to detail.
- Utilize network tools and technologies (e.g., NAS, NNMi, SevOne) for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of general network support experience.
- Strong experience with F5 APM and a profound understanding of PKI and Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, IPSec/IKE, and firewall administration (Checkpoint and Juniper preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP).
- Experience with DNS, Unix/Linux/Windows environments, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Proficient in using network troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark packet filters or tcpdumps.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce extensive written documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, with clients, and in a remote setting.
