Job Description:ASU-Beebe, a two-year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in part-time teaching opportunities for the following criminal justice courses:
a. Introduction to Criminal Justice
b. Introduction to Crime Scene Investigation
c. Criminal Investigation
d. Criminal Evidence and Procedure
e. Introduction to Law Enforcement
f. Ethical Dilemmas
g. Community Relations in the Administration of Justice
Campus locations may include Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs, LRAFB and online.
Master's degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of five years of working experience in the criminal justice system. Experience with online Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as CANVAS and video conferencing tools such as ZOOM are preferred.
Minimum Salary or Salary Range:$650 per credit hour
Background Check Statement:This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
