RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Payroll Manager.Responsibilities:- The Payroll Manager will oversee and direct payroll procedures to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Supervise and coach payroll staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records
- Manage payroll audits and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- The Payroll Manager will maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports as required
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
