Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Physician Services Program Specialist Temp to join our Physician Services team. This is a temporary full-time position based out of our regional office located in Rockville, MD with a hybrid work model.

Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group is comprised of more than 1,700 Permanente physicians and nearly 300 staff professionals who come together to make a positive impact on the health and lives of more than 800,000 members in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Reporting to a Senior Program Manager of Physician Services, the Physician Services Program Specialist Temp will support MAPMG physicians tri-jurisdictional licensing and privileging requirements for Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. You will assist with the physician licensure process by providing concierge-level customer service support to new physicians joining our practice and existing physicians.

This is a temporary position with an end date of December 31, 2024.

You can expect to:

  • Track required licensure to ensure new applicants and renewals are completed accurately and submitted in a timely fashion; submit and process applications for new and renewing state licenses
  • Prepare expense reports related to license renewals and applications to ensure compliance with accounts payable procedures and timelines
  • Partner with the Kaiser Permanente Credentialing Department to support the timely credentialing of new and existing MAPMG physicians
  • Provide excellent concierge support to MAPMG physicians for required licensure support in a seamless experience

What is required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a professional setting is required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or bookkeeping setting is preferred
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder and customer service experience
  • Ability to work with confidential documents
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to commute to Rockville, MD, two (2) days per month
  • Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area
  • Must provide documentation of the Covid vaccine 2-dose series (or J&J 1-dose) prior to October 1, 2023, or documentation for 1-dose of the most current Covid vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as a condition of employment. Must provide documentation for the influenza vaccine as a condition of employment
