What you'll do...

You will be part of a global engineering team that caters time and attendance to all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for associates working around the Globe. One of the key tools to manage the worked hours of associates in the Walmart stores/DC is Infor's Workbrain. The team takes care of creating customizations in and around the tool to make sure it caters to the scale in which Walmart operates.

What you'll do:

  • To be a technical lead, design, develop, and lead multiple Business or Technology driven projects with small to medium-sized teams to support new functionalities and user experiences.
  • Propose & implement customized solutions in Workbrain, combined with the latest tech stack. Mentor the team and review their deliverables to be in alignment with the best practices for the global best practices of Workbrain customizations.
  • Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
  • Work closely with the Distinguished Architects and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).
  • Interact closely with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe to collect the requirements and validate the solutioning.
  • Measure and improve Project/program performance, Operational performance and Portfolio performance using metrics/KPI's.
  • Recommend improvements and drive alignment across teams
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping architectural decisions, championing scalable and efficient solutions to meet present and future needs.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates, other teams and engineers.
  • Take ownership, lead and contribute across the technical stack to improve speed of delivery, developer productivity and related goals.
  • Drive Availability, Quality, Performance, and Resiliency related goals with your team.
  • Demonstrate craftsmanship and produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Investigate and build proof-of-concept prototypes utilizing new technologies and drive their adoption within the mainstream product.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in observability, CI/CD, systems architecture, and software engineering.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and inclusivity within the team.

What you'll bring:
  • 10+ Years experience in Workbrain Time & Attendance, including customizations, architecture, reporting and configurations
  • Should have functional expertise in all the Workbrain modules and good troubleshooting skills and analytical skills In for Workforce Management
  • 14+ years of experience in the development of highly - scalable applications and platform development
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Own Tech Debt/Tech Modernization - Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short- term implications of design decisions.
  • Having proficiency Java/J2EE, Microservices, Cloud Native Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in building products on Azure/GCP/AWS.
  • Good exposure to design, implement, Test and Deploy Workbrain modules
  • Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ownership for design of few modules/features in a product.
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS and No-SQL databases.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
  • Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
