Job Summary

The process technician will oversee the shift schedule and assist in running extrusion lines.

Job Responsibilities


  • Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile
  • Responsible for starting and shutting down production lines
  • Changes stacks & die's
  • Clean die's
  • Pull and clean co-extruder screws
  • Sets and updates all extruder and co-extruder settings
  • Set McGuire settings
  • Setup embossers
  • Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
  • Adjust water bath settings
  • Conducts advanced troubleshooting
  • Changes and clean vents
  • Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
  • Performs board quality control checks
  • Perform color testing
  • Conducts trials
  • Conduct Line Operator and Lead Operator skill evaluations
  • Directs/Trains Line Operators, Lead Operator
  • Ensures good Housekeeping
  • Communicates supply needs to Material handler
  • Follows all policies and procedures
  • Maximizes plant efficiencies
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
