Position Summary:The major responsibilities of this position include supporting student services staff registration and orientation sessions to ensure testing is compliant with grant requirements and publisher guidelines. Remote and/or on campus testing hours are required,
Reporting Relationship:Direct reporting relationship to the Dean of Adult Education and Literacy.
Essential Responsibilities:1. Assist in administering pre- and post-testing responsibilities during, registration, orientation, and other times throughout the semester on an as needed basis. 2. Assist with pre- and post-testing data requirements to include data collection, data entry, and filing. 3. Assist with maintaining inventory and organizing testing materials. 4. Participate in professional development training per grant requirements. 5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10-25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Variable hours are assigned on an as-needed basis determined by the dean. Employee is subject to work no more than 19 hours per week, which are variable and may include evening and occasional weekends. The Chief Human Resources Officer must approve hours needed beyond the maximum allowed.
1. High school diploma or high school equivalency credential and at least 18 years of age.
2. Interacts well with students in a culturally diverse environment who may demonstrate signs of stress and frustration.
3. Basic computer skills to conduct remote pre- and post-testing activities.
4. Demonstrates workplace skills and etiquette.
5. Follows instructions with minimum error.
6. Accepts instruction/direction from Dean and student services staff.
7. Passes background check per Prairie State College Human Resources Department.
8. Maintains confidentiality.
1. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Anticipated Work Hours and Days:Hourly as needed.
Salary:minimum starting hourly- $14.00
