Perm Project Accountant

M-f 8-5 PM

4 days on site Burlington, Ma, Friday Remote

Salary: $60K-$75K

Our client in Woburn, Ma, is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Divisional Project Management and Operations Teams to ensure all projects comply with corporate standards, and proper documentation and processes are followed. The role also involves collaborating with the Finance Department to handle vendor payments, monitor lien releases, process foreign currency payments, and manage collections for assigned projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multiple project teams to ensure successful delivery of construction and shielding projects to the client base.
  • Complete all documents and procedures necessary to administer new projects from contract to close.
  • Use the Timberline system to establish project setup, including billing schedules, generation of customer billings, job cost entry, etc.
  • Monitor projected customer payments and retention amounts for projects.
  • Approve change orders submitted by Divisional Project Management teams.
  • Reconcile month-end Timberline billing reports.
  • Assist in obtaining weekly payroll information by project, as needed.
  • Perform basic accounting and job costing tasks, as needed.
  • Enter vendor invoicing in Concur to support the cost on all jobs.
  • Handle the month-end process.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience performing project administration for a general contractor or subcontracting company.
  • Thorough knowledge of billing/invoicing using purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Experience with computerized systems used in construction project administration; Timberline experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma required; some college study preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities; deadline-driven.
  • Familiarity with an ISO 9000/9001/9004 quality system is a plus.
  • Ability to assist field personnel with day-to-day duties.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
