Volt is immediately seeking a strong candidate for the position of a Project Coordinator for a renowned global technology company. This position will be onsite in Dallas, TX.

Description

Our Engineering Program Management team is looking for a resourceful, energetic Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) to assist with Configuration Management, Supply Chain Management, Vendor and Logistics Management, and Procurement on new products in an exciting technology space. We are searching for a talented individual who is a strategic problem-solver who can lead and work with cross-functional teams to manage changes, perform risk analyses, and execute risk mitigation plans to support engineering development builds. Our team is collaborative, creative, and passionate about what we do and the products we make.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal); able to work in a large cross-functional team environment
  • Collaborate with Logistics team members; assisting with special hardware and component receipt, shipping, and general support
  • Experience creating and maintaining large quantities of data in spreadsheets
  • Meticulous attention to detail; flexible with the ability to react to changes in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
  • Prior experience working with oversea vendors, including NPI projects, purchasing, and logistics
  • Positive customer-first attitude
  • Experience developing and structuring BOMs for hardware products desired
  • Experience with PLM tools, Agile experience preferred but not required
  • Data Center Operations experience preferred, but not required.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Material demand planning, inventory control and logistics readiness from vendors to OEMs and/or office
  • Submitting purchase requisitions, tracking POs, submitting goods receipts and processing procurement invoices, maintain budgets
  • Reviewing and approving engineering change orders, providing feedback to engineers when necessary
  • Managing the logistics of ordering and tracking parts for early prototyping and engineering builds throughout development
  • Managing communication with vendors and contracted manufacturing partners closely to drive and track materials and shipments, troubleshooting any issues that may arise
  • Organize meetings as required for reviewing documents and approvals to implement ECO's and Deviations
  • Support local build activities by receiving shipments, track and organize inventory on shelves, and kitting material to an assembly line
  • Identify and document business requirements.
  • Provide standard coordination support, to include scheduling, product development, and tracking and follow-up of issues and action items.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant information to various levels of partners, business groups and management.
  • Prepare weekly dashboards and reports.
  • Communicate ideas for improving processes within the site and organization.
  • Work with management on initiatives as directed.
Education: BS/BA degree or 3+ years of industry experience.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm day shift

Pay Rate: $33.50 per hour
