SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible overseeing, planning and coordinating all aspects of the full life cycle of the technical project for the customer. Ensures all project goals and deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer's satisfaction. Manages labor and maintains employee relations regarding hiring, terminations and employee resolution. Provides cohesive team leadership and maintains positive working relationships with the customer and key stakeholders in support of USAARL aeromedical research and development in Fort Novosel, AL.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide scientific and management skills to direct medical research to prevent Soldier injury and improve Soldier protection.

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.

Oversee all aspects of projects.

Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress in terms of cost, schedule, performance, and risk.

Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.

Requires familiarity with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular scientific or technical field being managed as well as demonstrating proven experience in project management.

Plan and accomplish goals and assure the successful and timely completion of projects, coordinating input and work of cross-functional teams as needed.

Perform a variety of tasks.

Lead and direct the work of others.

Demonstrate leadership, initiative, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls.
