A general contractor with an excellent backlog of work through to Q2 of 2025 is looking to hire a Construction Project Manager to work on a variety of mixed commercial interior construction based in Northern Virginia and DC. Projects are all Commercial Construction focused (no residential) on interior fit-out and renovation projects up to $10M. Open to applicants from a general contractor or subcontractor background.

This a permanent, W-2 employed position offering long-term career position with a genuine career path to a senior project manager position and beyond. Your new role:

As a Construction Project Manager in their interiors construction department, you will be site-based working alongside an established and successful field and project management. You will be reporting into a Project Executive. If you are passionate about people leadership, there is the opportunity here to lead a team.

You will be working on commercial interiors projects in the range of $1M - $10M. Projects could range from corporate office and law firm work for private sector clients, as well as working for some local government and federal agencies. You will be responsible for running the project management program, working closely with the field management team. Project budget and financial tracking, scheduling, construction documentation, quality control and client POC will all fall under your/PM teams' responsibility. This GC have a separate preconstruction and estimating team that will support you.

What you need to succeed:

• 4-8 years of Construction experience working for a commercial construction general contractor demonstrating progressive growth in responsibilities.
• Commercial Construction interior or renovation experience, can come from any market sector of experience within commercial.
• A construction related degree such as engineering, architecture or construction management is desired but not essential.
• This is a hybrid position either on the company HQ in Fairfax 5 days a week or working from the job-sites.
