Description: Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer - Data for a W2 role

Job Description:

• Over 6 years in software product development and delivery.
• More than 5 years in ETL testing and SQL.
• At least 3 years with Informatica Power Center, IDQ, and IICS/IDMC.
• Over 3 years in developing data test plans, scenarios, cases, and documenting results.
• 2+ years with Azure Cloud tools such as ADF, PySpark, and Databricks notebooks.
• 2+ years with Python and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
• Proficient in interpreting and drawing system and architecture diagrams.
• Skilled in summarizing metrics into meaningful graphs and reports.
• Familiar with the latest cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Develop and support the full lifecycle of our Data Warehouse product, including requirement analysis, test estimation, planning, design, traceability, execution, and support of ETL/ELT processes.
• Conduct data testing, conversion, migration, transformations, profiling, analysis, and quality validation.
• Test ETL mappings to extract data from various sources (Oracle, SQL Server, flat files) into target tables using transformations like expressions, lookups, source qualifiers, aggregators, filters, and joiners.
• Design and implement end-to-end data testing strategies and automation frameworks.
• Perform end-to-end product feature testing and business report testing, including designing, testing, and troubleshooting data and reports.
• Write complex queries and create stored procedures in database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.
• Understand and work with Azure Cloud and ADF.
• Utilize Python, PySpark, and Databricks notebooks effectively.
• Collaborate with project teams, development, operations, and infrastructure resources to resolve data issues.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including logging, replication, triaging, verification, closing, and metrics reporting.
• Acquire and manage high volumes of test data for execution.
• Handle multiple programs simultaneously and work under an offshore and onsite model.
• Apply Agile methodology effectively.
• Mentor and train team members on product features, functionality, and domain knowledge.
• Use test management tools like HP ALM, Jira, and Qmetry proficiently.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
