Job Description

• Document and maintain detailed records using anElectronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN).
• Perform techniques such as protein conjugation, purification, and characterization.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instruments in adherence to laboratory SOPs and safety training
• Assess the biophysical and biochemical properties of assay reagents while ensuringcompliant documentation ofreagent preparations.
• Support accurate and compliant record keeping and experimental data integrity

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in a scientific concentration with 2-4 years of experience or a M.S. with 1-3 years of experience, or the equivalent training/experience.
• Prior experience with basic protein purification and conjugation techniques, electronic inventory tracking, and recording in an electronic notebook

Required skills/Basic Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of protein and its properties
• Protein conjugation
• Protein purification (Gravity chromatography, Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Protein A chromatography, Desalting chromatography)
• SEC-HPLC (troubleshoot, sample prep, and data analysis)
• LC-MS (sample prep and data analysis)
• FPLC (AKTA)
• SDS-PAGE
• Aseptic techniques
• Knowledge of ELNs
• Centrifugation
• Nanodrop (or any other techniques that would measure the protein concentration)
• BCA assay
• Pipetting

Additional skills if you come across any:

• Knowledge of Hamilton Liquid Handler
• Inventory management (restock the reagents)
• Lunatic - UV/Vis Spectrophotometer
• Buffer prep
• Aliquoting

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Spring House, PA are encouraged to apply.
