Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Pathology invites applications for full-time Renal Pathologists at any rank. Our department evaluates more than 1500 kidney bxs (85% native and 15% transplant) annually, and the clinical service would be equally divided with two other renal pathologists. Participation in another surgical pathology service may also be accommodated for candidates with fellowship training in these other services. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of residents, renal pathology and both pediatric and adult nephrology/rheumatology fellows, and medical students. Opportunities for translational research are available. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) possess an MD degree or equivalent, 2) have board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology, and 3) hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in the States of Illinois and Indiana.
We especially welcome academically oriented applicants with fellowship training in renal pathology.
To be considered, those interested must apply through the University of Chicago's Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/158902. Applicants must upload a CV including bibliography and cover letter. Review of applications ends when the positions are filled.
