Scope of Position:
The Ohio State University Medical Center's mission is focused on integrating quality patient care, teaching and research. The Patient Care Coordinator - Registered Nurse (PCC-RN) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.
Position Summary:
The PCC-RN is responsible for managing the pre-operative surgical clearance process under the Medical Director guidance. The PCC-RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership and development of the patient care team. Individuals within this position must be able to function fully within performance expectations defined for nurses in a surgical setting. Position located at OSU Surgery Center Outpatient Care New Albany. Call assigned on a rotating basis and as late cases arise.
Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing
Additional Education Desired
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio licensure or interim permit. Previous surgical center experience preferred
