Location: Onsite: 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE Washington, D.C. 20590

Security Clearance:

Must be a US Citizen, eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Salary Range - $60,000-$70,000

Job Summary:

Safety Specialist with expert knowledge of a specific automotive engineering field; knows industry trends and issues in the specific field. Able to create presentations and present them at automotive industry conferences and meetings. Analyze data and write reports with research and test results in various formats. Ability to facilitate and audit testing at outside contractor facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Takes leadership role in industry standards committees
• Analyze data and write reports and report research and test results in various formats
• Create presentations and present them at automotive industry conferences and meeting
• Collect information in area of specialization
• Facilitate and audit testing at outside contractor facilities
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Minimum: $60,000

Compensation Maximum: $70,000

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of a specific automotive engineering field
• Knowledgeable of industry trends and issues in the specific field.
• Advanced skills in managing multiple projects are required
• Able to take a leadership role in industry standards committees.
• Able to create presentations and present them at automotive industry conferences and meetings
• Ability to analyze data and write reports and report research and test results in various formats
• Collect information in area of specialization
• Ability to facilitate and audit testing at outside contractor facilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and the location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.
