Company Overview

Cumulus Media Inc. is seeking a Sales Assistant for the Sales Department in the Chicago market for radio stations WLS-AM, WLS-FM, and WKQX-FM.

Position Overview

You will be providing support to our Account Executives and Sales Management in a variety of areas including:

• Providing daily information (spot logs, invoices, audio segments)
• Assist in presentation development and order entry
• Utilizing a variety of media outlets (Media Monitors, Nielsen Tapscan, Miller Kaplan) to perform financial and market research
• Ad hoc reporting for financial performance and competitive landscape
• Support promotional team and efforts
• Communicate with clients as needed
• Assist digital team

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Must possess advanced Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, Advanced Formulas)

• Extremely detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Familiar with digital / social media metrics
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential to assure successful interaction within all levels of employees and external contacts
• Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple (and sometimes conflicting) project deadlines in a professional manner
• Excellent and professional telephone manner a must
• Must be a self-starter and demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in an environment where change is constant
• Position may require over-time and flexible hours depending on business needs
• College degree preferred with 2 years previous experience in a sales support role
