ABOUT THE JOB

As a Senior Graphic Designer you will join our in-house marketing team and help support our mission and vision through visual communication for internal, b2b & b2c audiences. Our ideal candidate is a proactive individual with well-developed critical thinking skills-someone who can process and solve problems as quickly as they arise. Our ideal individual lives and breathes presentations brought to life with a mastery of PowerPoint and augmented with expert wielding of Adobe creative cloud design software. In addition to presentation design, your daily work can range widely from print and digital to environmental design-with all of it supporting the cohesion and elevation of the Marathon Health brand. To find success in this role, you should possess a can-do attitude and the drive to back it up. You should also hold in-depth experience and proven skill in presentation design, graphic design, layout, and executing marketing projects from concept through production. Ultimately, you will help support Marathon Health by delivering high-quality, branded work that follows our brand guidelines and helps forward efforts to improve the health of the populations we serve.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate strong visual design skills with the ability to combine various design principles like color theory, typography, contrast, balance, repetition, and alignment.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines.
  • Expertly communicate in verbal, written, and visual forms.
  • Follow creative design guidance and instruction to help ensure all work meets brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Research the latest presentation, web, motion, print, and environmental design trends to help inform design decisions.
  • Help evolve and define brand imagery and guidelines and build standardization across all marketing channels.
  • Translate client insights and performance data into design concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to realize a creative vision for the Marathon brand.
  • Work independently while maintaining excellent ongoing status communication.
  • Partner with leaders in various departments to understand business objectives and provide creative solutions.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as graphic design or marketing plus a minimum of 5 years' experience with demonstrated expertise in the areas of presentation design, layout, graphic design, typography, print design, interactive design, user-centered experience design, marketing and the creative process. Must have a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of mediums. Expert-level proficiency with design software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Working familiarity with other Creative Suite software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD, etc.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Expert-level experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience with file preparation for various print-production processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with preparation for digital distribution.
  • Some experience with User Experience design.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership, vendors, internal team members, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure while producing high-quality work.
  • Strong attention to detail

Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level.
