Summary: Performs technical laboratory work of advanced difficulty in a scientific research laboratory.
Salary range is $45,849 - $58,352 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in a science-related field; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
3. Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
4. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and at least 6 months of research experience with some cell culture and animal experimentation experience. The preferred candidate should have experience with molecular biology, mammalian tissue culture, Western Blot, ELISA, qPCR, enzyme assay, etc.; familiar with organizing and analyzing laboratory research efforts and participate in assigned phases of scientific research projects.
