Job Description

Position Overview:
As the Senior Manager, Domestic Manufacturing, you will be responsible for strategy, contract negotiation and execution, and contract compliance involving Invenergy's domestic manufacturing initiative. The role may be involved with manufacturing initiatives on numerous different technologies and locations. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with a basic understanding of equipment utilized in the power generation sector along with a solid business background involving planning, contract negotiations, and strategic decision making. This role reports to the Head of Domestic Content & Illuminate Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Initiating and updating domestic manufacturing strategy and business plans.
  
• Negotiating and executing material contracts necessary with internal and external stakeholders in support of domestic manufacturing.
  
• Ensuring compliance with project and corporate contract obligations.
  
• Generation and presentation of stakeholder reporting
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) and master's degree in business administration (required)
  
• 2-10 years in the renewable energy industry, preferably in sourcing, project development, and execution
  
• Must be based in Chicago office
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong technical understanding of wind, solar, and storage plant design and construction
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of renewable energy equipment and affiliated supply chain
  
• Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interests and backgrounds.
