RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing engineering technology is seeking a Senior or Principal Radar Algorithm Engineer in Orem, UT.Summary:We are working directly with the hiring manager on this exclusive search assignment and have placed a few engineers in this group. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving a variety of radar algorithms, with a focus on those related to radar signal processing and target detection/tracking or similar.Responsibilities:- Design and validate effective and efficient Radar signal processing algorithms for target detection and tracking
- Implement those Radar algorithms on embedded hardware with timing and resource utilization constraints (primarily using C++)
- Develop test cases using real-world data to validate the efficacy of the algorithms and iterate the design process based on deficiencies
- Work with various engineering teams to ensure that the radar output meets their requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong experience with design and implementation of radar algorithms (e.g. phased array processing, beamforming, MIMO, MUSIC, STAP, CFAR, detection, target estimation, target detection and tracking, etc.)
- Experience with Moving Target Indication (MTI) is a plus
- Experience with radar-based multiple target tracking is a plus
- Digital signal processing and numerical analysis (e.g., Fourier transforms, digital filters, linear algebra, optimization)
- Programming in C++ or similar programming languages
- Programming in CUDA is a plus but not required
- Rapid numerical prototyping in Python is preferred
- Radar simulation experience is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
