Exciting pricing leadership opportunity within the Energy and Transportation segment of Caterpillar. This role manages a team of pricing professionals and provides key business functions including pricing operations, and pricing consulting within Caterpillar's Energy and Transportation segment. This role will collaborate closely with Industry pricing contacts and develop key pricing insights and strategies by leveraging pricing analytics and data visualization tools.

Key responsibilities include execution of global pricing operations, development and communication of pricing data and data analytics to provide key business insights to E&T Industry partners, product managers and business partners throughout the segment.

What you will do:

  • Managing and supervising pricing analysts and consultants to support price activities including price generation, process improvements and pricing operations and strategy.
  • Analyzing and forecasting the profit impact and or sales variance of proposed pricing actions while providing consultation to key business partners.
  • Involved in activities to manage total pricing procedures and compliance while ensuring timely response to market business partners and market conditions.
  • Development of competitive pricing insights
  • Collaboration and communication with pricing and business contacts to develop pricing process proposals
  • Drives process improvements in the pricing area considering Voice of Dealer and Voice of Business
What you will have:

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
