Senior Project Scheduler
Hybrid 2-3 days Remote, 2-3 days per week in Stafford, or Quantico VA with the client
Must hold an Active Secret Clearance

@Orchard LLC is supporting a growing Federal Contractor with a prime contract to provide Scheduling support to the Commander Marine Corps Command (MCSC), specifically the Program Manager, Wargaming Capability (PM WGC). Our client requires experienced Project Scheduler support to stay on the aggressive schedule projected and meet prototyping, system acquisition, system delivery, and system sustainment. Our client supports the PM WGC Team in their duties to enable the development and implementation of the necessary war gaming capabilities for the new USMC Wargaming Center.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and/or create program master schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information.
• Review contractor schedules for accuracy and logic, comparing them to what is happening in the field, and report schedule status to all stakeholders on a recurring basis.
• Design, develop, and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules for implementation, developmental and operational systems.
• Works with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assists in keeping these schedules current.
• Develops and/or modifies project schedules and or the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Integrated Master Program Schedule.
• Maintains the overall Master Program /Project Schedule. Links project schedules with the overarching program, Investment Portfolio, functional area, and/or other Integrated Master Plans (IMPs).
• Provides hands-on development of layered schedules and IMPs that address how an acquisition project is progressing and how that project contributes to overarching requirements and objectives.
• Maintains status on linkages and dependencies with related projects.

What A Day in the Life looks like:

• Assist in defining and implementing schedule software (MS Project, Primavera, or specific program-mandated software, etc.) management processes and procedures
• Implement schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures
• Assist in maintaining and developing the environment for the overall Master Program/Project Schedule and or the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Master Program Schedule
• Maintain the schedule of product build, staging, testing, deployment, and integration
• Define and implement schedule configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the schedule build process
• Develop schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures and ensure that they are followed on development or operational schedule development and implementation projects

Your background will include-

• At least 5 years of project management and/or related DoD experience in acquisitions, logistics, risk management, engineering, or cyber.
• Expert level of skills with MS Project (SME) with an ability to ask relevant questions relating to dependencies and successors along with providing a critical path analysis.
• Must possess at least an active SECRET clearance with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret. An active TS/SCI would be a preference.
• Demonstrated experience and proven ability to solve problems creatively.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience managing projects through the full life cycle.
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
• Ability to work closely with team members of Integrated Product Teams.
