Job Summary:

Senior Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining existing customers and growing sales opportunities for the ABS' product lines. The role will be responsible for prospecting, account management, closing new accounts, retaining current customers, analyzing competitors, and keeping abreast of new technologies.

The Senior Sales Manager will develop a strong technical knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and the electric vehicle market segments. They will have relationships with distributors and OEMs in these markets. They must be organized, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to build good relationships with clients and coworkers. They must be highly motivated to make and meet sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets.
  • Prospecting, evaluating, and developing new customers.
  • Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their needs and requirements.
  • Managing and supporting existing customers.
  • Work with Engineering, Finance, Project Management, and Manufacturing to develop technical proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical customer presentations and proposals to customers.
  • Develop quotation packages, including developing cost and pricing models, NRE, and timing estimates.
  • Negotiating contract terms.
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Manage customer and sales forecasts.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' of sales experience.
  • Preferred experience working with lithium-ion batteries.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment where initiative and ownership is required.
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Salesforce CRM.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen.
  • May need to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about in industrial environments and on uneven terrain.
  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, and in industrial environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
  • May be required to travel to and navigate a variety of sites.
