The Special Issuance Group (SIG) focuses on the issuance and cancellation of shares as directed by an issuer.

The SIG Team specifically focuses on the movement of shares to and from a broker via an electronic delivery method known as a DWAC (Deposit/Withdrawal at Custodian) using the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation's SPA (Securities Processing Application) platform. There are specific service level standards related to the review and processing of the transactions supported by the team. Failure to complete transactions timely and accurately could result in a financial impact to the organization and/or the client.

A role you will love

The Senior Transactions Processor will verify that all required documentation and client authorization have been obtained prior to processing. Additionally, they may provide support in handling escalations and or research requests, as well as assisting with other duties or tasks as assigned by management. They must also be willing to work overtime during peak volumes so that Client Service Level Agreements are met.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Preliminary review of requests submitted into Workflow to determine the appropriate transaction type and debit source for classification.

• Ensure that required legal or client authorization has been obtained prior to processing.

• Loading item into the DWAC tracking database.

• Manual review and approval of DWAC requests initiated on SPA.

• Manual processing of DWAC requests or other transactions in SCRIP.

• Review and handling of complex transactions and processing escalations, such as the issuance of book entry shares and certificates.

• Lending support to other team members as needed.

What will you bring to the role?

Required:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Transfer Agent functions and/or strong Financial Services industry background.

Preferred:

1 to 2 years of industry experience.

Basic understanding of SEC regulations pertaining to Transfer Agency Services.

Knowledge of Computershare platforms such as SCRIP, Workflow, and Doc Viewer.

Previous hands-on experience in a metrics-driven environment where there are established productivity and quality standards.
