Position Purpose:The Space Planner provides support for project development for the planning and programming of new and redevelopment of existing campus spaces, ensuring optimal space utilization that aligns with Dartmouth's strategic goals and user requirements. This position requires a combination of analytical skills and an understanding of space utilization principles in a higher education environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to site assessment of facilities, analysis of space utilization, development of concept sketches and test fits, preparation of existing and proposed space allocation, coordination of moves, and updates to the campus space inventory and CAD floor plans. The Space Planner will report to the Director of Campus Planning and will collaborate closely with planning staff and stakeholders to assess current space usage, identify optimization opportunities, and help develop short- and long-term space plans to support the institution's academic and operational objectives. Two-year term position.
Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
