The Role

This highly dynamic role is responsible for performing multiple activities in support of Moderna's Manufacturing and Planning at our Norwood facility. The role involves creating and maintaining a valid site production schedule at a daily and shift level, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery of the production plan. The Specialist works closely with Commercial, Clinical and Non-GMP Operations and other teams to identify risks and resolve issues promptly through structured tier meetings.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Work directly with Operations to ensure all required production is adequately scheduled and executed to meet demand.
  • Create and maintain detailed site production plans for operations related to material bundling, process intermediates, manufacturing, and maintenance/support operations.
  • Develop production schedules to meet demand requirements, including rough cut capacity planning and finite daily scheduling.
  • Define sequence and establish priorities for all process orders at each work center, controlling the execution of the plan.
  • Lead and participate in daily Tier meetings with cross-functional teams to align and facilitate discussions on manufacturing updates, quality events, shipping schedules, and facility operations.
  • Work with the Materials Management team to resolve any discrepancies related to just-in-time deliveries.
  • Ensure translation of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into Material Requirements for intermediates.
  • Support Product Supply Chain Managers in Demand Management and Supply Planning.
  • Communicate KPIs and metrics that track the effectiveness of planning and manufacturing execution.
  • Gather and analyze data for metrics and KPIs, supporting studies and analysis based on new scenarios, projects, budget cycles, or reforecasting.
  • Manage the item lifecycle process in SAP including the gathering of master data inputs, and routing of quality documents through approval for item creation and obsolescence.
  • Responsible for routing master data change requests for approval, and executing the change in SAP.
  • Establishes an ongoing process to maintain, monitor, and improve data integrity.
  • Execute data integrity checks to ensure accuracy in SAP.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in site production planning within a Supply Chain or manufacturing operation. Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related field.

  • Experience in Operation of a highly regulated industry, like Pharmaceutical or related field.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and interact with various stakeholders from different domains in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and identify solutions.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple topics in a fast-paced environment and deal with different stakeholders from different domains in the organization.
  • Analytical skills and system driven mind but ability to think outside of the box
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, and work both independently and as part of a team to identify solutions.
  • Well organized - a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work

  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna's site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
