Senior Business Process Analyst - Finance and Accounting

What You'll Do:

  • As a member of the Financial Applications Support and Development Team, assist in the design, creation, and configuration of applications to meet/exceed business requirements.
  • Provide day to day support for multiple financial business systems.
  • Guide and maintain the setup of business software configurations as required.
  • Perform technical tasks such as navigation of database schemas and analysis of table relationships, development of scripts to implement data changes, and mining for problem detection/resolution.
  • Perform complex data analysis and deliver data queries per internal business requests and to provide audit support.
  • Troubleshoot data issues within integrated software packages, internally developed software, and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with ITS infrastructure support personnel as well as software vendors to resolve problems.
  • Work with business area users and technology experts to incrementally improve business processes and associated system implementations, including functional requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, training, and documentation.
  • Support business analysis and business relationship management activities/functions.
  • Provide cyclical support for weekly, monthly and yearly business system processes and operations.
  • On a rotational basis, provide on-call support for multiple financial business systems.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial System (ERP) development and support (Costpoint a plus).
  • Deep understanding of the Supply Chain (PO) to Accounts Payable (Invoicing) workflow/lifecycle.
  • Experience utilizing data base management toolsets.
  • Ability to navigate database schema's and understand table relationships.
  • Ability to develop scripts and implement data changes which adhere to Vendor Software constraints.
  • Ability to mine data for problem detection and resolution.
  • Familiarity with ABI integrations (Webservices, Biztalk integration - XML).
  • Possess and demonstrate strong business analysis and business relationship management skills.
  • Strong SQL skills for writing database queries, developing reports, and ad hoc troubleshooting.
  • Experience with report writing tools.
  • Experience with and or the aptitude to quickly learn OnBase, Adaptive, iCertis, Intelex, Pcard, and Costpoint T&E.
  • Ability to translate business processes into recommended best uses of software functionality.
  • Understand and application of the Software Development Lifecycle and associated tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to question / listen to user concerns and develop solutions using our systems to meet user needs.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-starter / self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision.
  • Strong motivation to provide customer satisfaction, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred, with experience in government/ aerospace accounting.
Pay Information

Hourly Range: $49.76/hr - $67.55/hr

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
