Senior Engineering Technician

Taunton, MA

Contract Position

$24.49 - $29.49 / Hourly

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

• Support engineering activities such as design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance of electronic and electromechanical devices, assemblies, and systems.
• Construct, modify, and test tools and equipment based on schematics, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Conduct and document experiments under the guidance of senior technicians, applying practical solutions for process improvements.
• Operate equipment, perform calibration checks, and make necessary adjustments as directed.
• Organize data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions for process improvements.
• Provide direction to employees with similar duties and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Work under general supervision to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a technical field.
• Secret Clearance required.
