Sr. Network Engineer

Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will implement and maintain a complex, multi-vendor local and wide area network infrastructure. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in F5 equipment and the ability to perform high-risk network changes independently.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform all functions of a Network Engineer, including configuring switches, routers, and systems hardware.
• Coordinate and implement moderate to high-risk network changes to mission-critical areas.
• Develop and document configuration and network changes.
• Integrate components supplied by multiple vendors into a unified network.
• Resolve Tier 2 network issues and escalate complex connectivity issues as necessary.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of network infrastructure and understand the impact of applications on the network.
• Provide technical guidance and development for team members.
• Act as technical project leader for medium to large technical projects.
• Research, recommend, and justify hardware and software purchases.
• Ensure network systems meet business needs through design, documentation, testing, and integration.
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve help desk tickets and network problems.
• Coordinate changes with vendors and staff, following change management processes.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with F5 equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in infrastructure/network environments, performing network engineering and designing, planning, and implementing LANs, WANs, and wireless technologies.

Desired Skills:

• CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP Certification.
• Experience with Aruba Wireless.
