Job Summary: The Senior Supply Chain Analyst functions under the general direction of the Director of Data Systems, performing and supporting operations projects across the Health System. This position will utilize data and assist the Data Team in their day-to-day operations. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will work with tools such as SQL, Python, MS-Excel, MS-Access, etc., to improve efficiency, reduce cost and ensure that the desired result is achieved in a timely manner. This position will also perform data analysis as required by the Director of Supply Chain MMIS and other metrics reports that are required by the Supply Chain Management team. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will generate automation within their reporting. Senior Supply Chain Analyst Responsibilities: Identifying and addressing operational risks within Supply Chain. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities. Explore new customer satisfaction options and make recommendations at monthly board meeting for how satisfaction can be improved. Acting as a liaison between business and IT groups. Create monthly reports of performance, pointing out areas in need of improvement and making recommendations. Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights. Write programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner. Incorporate a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques in projects. Establish scalable; efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development and model implementation. Seeks further knowledge on key developments within data science, technical skill sets, and additional data sources. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Financial Accountability * Performs financial analysis for supply chain initiatives through use of a variety of information systems, and through collaboration with peers in finance and operations. * Prepares required business case necessary to allow management to make informed business decisions. * Proficient to expert use of spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing applications are required. Develop support tools using advanced Excel, Crystal Reports and/or MS-Access skills for implementation support and tracking and reporting of performance metrics for supply expense improvement initiatives. * Prepares reports and presentations of such quality and accuracy that it can be shared within different teams. * Evaluates opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. * Maintains record of implemented projects and documented savings achieved. Customer Service * Interacts with all team members in health system facilities. * Responds to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner. * Creates a work environment that promotes premier customer service and is accountable for timely completion of projects. * Assumes responsibility for all other duties as assigned. Quality and Safety * Monitors key outcome data for work assignments and submits to management team. * Participates in department performance improvement and educational activities. * Helps the Data team by creating different kinds of reports. * Develops metrics to measure performance internally and externally. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or related area Required and Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or related area Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
