Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Fairfield, CA
Salary: $80,000- $90,000
Work Arrangement: Direct Hire- One day remote per week
Job Description:
This position plays a key role in maintaining financial records, processing payroll, and supporting HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist with HR responsibilities, including onboarding and employee record management.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Utilize advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Support ERP system maintenance and enhancements to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and HR functions.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
