Weatherford, a leading organization in the Oil & Energy industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for facilitating an efficient sourcing process by building strategic relationships with suppliers, negotiating costs, and developing agreements for the goods and services required across multiple locations within the assigned region.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing plans, collaborating closely with Operations and Category Plant Management to refine strategies for the upcoming year.
  • Analyze spend data, industry trends, purchasing patterns, market conditions, and expiring contracts to identify opportunities for cost optimization, quality improvement, and enhanced service delivery.
  • Execute sourcing events (RFX's), negotiate cost savings and benefits to reduce overall organizational expenses. Cost savings project with high-speed suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contracts, supplier records, and performance tracking through scorecards.
  • Foster strategic alliances with suppliers to develop and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, leading meetings with suppliers to resolve critical issues and ensure alignment with project expectations.
Education
  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain and or Business Management
Certifications
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.
  • Sourcing Certificate is an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in sourcing and procurement roles, demonstrating proficiency in relevant competencies.
  • Familiarity with Procurement and Sourcing principles, techniques, e-catalogs, e-ordering, and sourcing events resolve blocked invoicing issues.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost modeling skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate Excel skills and preferred advanced Excel, JD Edwards, PowerBI, expertise.
Travel Requirement
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel up to 10%.
