This position is responsible for the coordination of Raw Material inventory and the execution of inbound business process initiatives for the KCNA businesses. This position provides informal leadership and coaching of KCNA materials planning teams with respect to inventory health, movement, and flow and is expected to lead and / or participate in various projects which support achieving team objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform mid-term responsibilities for inbound material flow.

  • Coordinate material inventory plans that support the needs of all KCNA businesses with an objective of achieving customer service objectives at the lowest total delivered cost.

  • Lead and execute the RM Statically Managed Inventory (SMI+/SMI) process development, launch, and process health mgt activities for KCNA.

  • Provide an inbound logistics perspective in working with the KC warehouse, planning, and vendor teams to identify waste, asset disruption, and flow improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.

  • Expected to lead and / or participate in various development projects which support achieving both production site and staff objectives including optimization of overflow warehouse use.

  • Coordinate with Strategic Material Planning on material changes to support business plans and minimize obsolescence in collaboration with Procurement, Operations, Vendors, Planning, and Packaging.

  • Must actively participate and lead problem solving and continuous process improvement with production/logistics site, staff, and vendor teams.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics / Supply Chain, Business, or related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in Logistics and / or Operations for production sites or staff

  • Knowledge of and experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system

Preferred

  • Strong analytical skills including use of advanced reporting and visualization tools.

  • A demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions

  • A demonstrated personal credibility through strong communication skills, achieving results, and trusted relationships with others

  • Personal and organizational sensitivity

  • Ability to collaborate and work cross functionally and influence without direct authority

  • A demonstrated ability to provide work direction to peers or others

  • Working knowledge of supply chain interactions particular in logistics or planning

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a readiness to blaze a new trail in mid-term materials management
