Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Tableau Developerwithin our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
- Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
- Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
- Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
- Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
- Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends.
- Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
- Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.
- Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
- Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
- Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications.
- Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends.
- Create or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions.
- Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products.
- Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
- Document specifications for business intelligence or information technology reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, prefer a master's degree.
- A good foundation for this field includes classes in computer and information science, accounting, finance, economics, business, management, political science and government, psychology, and English.
- 8 + years of strong research and analytical skills are required for gathering data and understanding how to see patterns and trends in the findings.
- 8 + years of database software experience
- Critical thinking is needed to identify problems and arrive at conclusions and make recommendations for approaches and solutions to these problems.
- Close attention to what people is saying and asking questions to immediately clarify information.
- Attention to details is critical in this type of work.
- Strong reading comprehension, writing abilities, and clear communication skills are required to understand data and share information with others.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $95,000 to $158,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt in accordance with applicable law.
