Job Description:
Mahoney State Park is looking for hard working and motivated individuals to fill security positions at the park. Duties include: Following up with guest needs that could include maintenance problems or housekeeping issues, helping park staff with projects, event space cleaning and set up, and other duties as needed. Some knowledge of basic grounds work and maintenance is required, and the ability to lift and move objects such as tables and chairs. Hours for this position are 4pm - 2am. Candidate must be able to manage time independently and work well with staff and guests in the park. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: At least three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.

Knowledge of: the operation of various types of powered equipment and machinery; modern office methods and procedures; housekeeping, food service, storekeeping, history, animal husbandry, agricultural practices, wildlife or recreation; the history, culture and recreational use of the tourist attraction. Ability to: meet and deal effectively with the public; understand and follow instructions; make routine decisions; communicate effectively; apply proper phone etiquette; safely operate various types of powered equipment and machinery; add and subtract numbers and perform other basic arithmetic calculations; plan, assign and coordinate the work of others.
