Join our Retail Intelligence Team!
The Principal, Sciences Solutions - Connected Intelligence is a unique blend of design of the intelligence strategy, leading model development, and activating new capabilities at the world's largest omnichannel retailer! This exciting opportunity will help drive vertical and horizontal activity scoping, innovation mapping, and intelligence algorithm development coordination that will deliver important activations within Walmart US, focused on transforming Supply Chain and In Store Operations. We work with multiple 4-in-the-box groups to promote AI-first roadmap prioritization designed to achieve key business outcomes. This role will require partnership with other teams within the Walmart organization (Data Governance, Data Science / ML, Analytics, Engineering, Operations) as well as the working teams across WMT US (Innovation and Automation, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Operations).

- You have excellent storytelling and visual design skills to collaborate and communicate at the appropriate level of detail depending on the audience
- You have transformation in your DNA (creating a vision and defining a strategy, defining intelligence roadmaps, authoring science strategy whitepapers and presentations, conducting internal discovery, providing rapid exploratory analysis, as well as leading development activities and ensuring strategic alignment, collaborating with data scientists, and crave ownership of key business outcomes)
- You can build meaningful relationships and leverage influence
- You have delivered on Transformation projects in challenging and resistive environments
- You have experience in two or more of the following areas: Data Science Development, Algorithmic Solution Design, Strategy Development, and B2B Software Consulting
You'll make an impact by...
- Reframing of business activations and decision engines into ML/AI processes designed to achieve the near and long term business impact objectives
- Authoring Science Whitepapers, conducting Internal discovery and providing rapid Exploratory Analysis
- Relentlessly focusing on creating agile prototypes implementing a unified consumer signal (i.e., optimization, causal DAGs, forecasting, addressable market demand), consolidation of cross-functional planning, and a business choices framework
- Performing discovery, assessment, and ML/AI reengineering of existing decision engines to enable connected and harmonized intelligence to achieve targeted business outcomes
- Partnering with Operations and Product team on research and proposals for roadmap integrations of new and viable AI technologies including evaluation of 3rd party software
- Partnering with Analytics to develop insights and pilot measurement of concepts in support of agile and iterative improvement processes
- Leading development activities and ensuring strategic alignment

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
