The ideal candidate is willing to take initiative, lead others to meet goals, and improve their skills in leadership, communication, and Lean production.
Responsibilities
The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is responsible for managing manufacturing operations in one or more departments at the Newport, VT, facility and may include operations over multiple shifts. The VSM is responsible for ensuring all Key Performance Metrics are met or exceeded (Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost), and motivating others to accomplish objectives with a sense of urgency, while maintaining high morale.
The VSM will be required to develop a deep understanding of the Lean Systems and Tools. Additional duties include data entry and analysis, record keeping, and developmental counseling of Team Leaders. Successful completion of the Leadership Qualification Program, Job Relations (JR), and Job Instruction (JI) is required. Other trainings and tasks will be added as needed.
