Innova Solutions is seeking a VP of Application Development for a growing Financial Services client out of FL.

Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Mostly remote. Will entail at least quarterly travel!
***Can ONLY work out of these states!! AL, AR, FL, GA, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, NE, NC, OK, TN, TX, VA, WV

The VP of Development will provide technical guidance and oversite for development, QA, and data teams. Candidate will strategically align technical resources with the needs of the organization, and plan team growth appropriately to keep up with the needs of the organization. They will work to define the tools and training necessary to meet Company's evolving needs.

  • Responsible for SDLC. Includes architecting, developing, implementing, testing, deploying, and of all system and sub-systems associated to the core Symitar system (or other large systems).
  • Coordinate with executive peers and leadership to understand and meet the implementation, development, and programming needs of the organization.
  • Manage budget of money, time, and materials to deliver on organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Set and manage organizational expectations on timeline and delivery of organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Manage time, cost, and quality of IT development work leveraging both internal resources and appropriate vendor partners.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to reporting teams and team members appropriately.
  • Responsible for the overall productivity and quality of work from the development teams.
  • Attends courses and seminars as needed to maintain knowledge of current software technologies as it pertains to the needs of the credit union.
  • Provide strategic guidance and planning to staff appropriately for development and programming needs.
  • Communicates hardware and/or software problems on a timely basis to management as they occur and takes active role in resolution of these problems.

  • GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Demonstrate Company's Guiding Principles through leadership and key initiatives, including the accomplishments of other stated objectives in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members and employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
  • Team member will be responsible for complying with all BSA/AML/OFAC regulation as required by their position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited university required.
    • Minimum 7 years of progressive management experience and in-depth understanding of the software development life cycle and digital capabilities required.
    • Five years of strategic leadership experience is required, including managing and coaching staff
    • Strong analytical, fact-based, and decision-making skills with the ability to speak to non technical peers and work strategically to meet their requirements.
    • Experience working / developing in an Agile Environment required. Specifically, in achieving defined OKRs through value stream teams by meeting defined sprint cycle goals.
    • While programming and development will not be a part of day-to-day responsibilities, experience as a developer / application programmer preferred.
    • Experience with supporting financial institutional applications, core (specifically Jack Henry's Symitar), and products preferred.
    • Experience with digital products, A/B testing platforms and application performance preferred.
    PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
    Pay Range*: $180-200K+bonus/benefits
    *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

    Benefits: This is a Direct Hire position.
